I recently got Donnie Darko on DVD and I must say... it's a FRIGGIN AWESOME MOVIE! Though it didn't do so well in theaters when it was released a few years ago, it's been selling like hotcakes on DVD, and I can see why.

The movie is absolutely mindblowing. It's the sort of thing that you'll have to watch twice to understand, and even more to get everything. After watching it once, you'll be like WTF?

The story follows a schizophrenic teenager who sees visions of a 6 foot tall satanic bunny rabbit who brings news of the end of the world. It takes off from there.

The symbolism in the film is amazing. Though it is far from being a Christian film, it does mirror certain things from the life of Jesus, such as healings and sacrifice.

What's so great about Donnie Darko is that everything isn't spoon fed to you like most Hollywood trash. You have to really watch and listen, see people's reactions, look for hidden clues in language to understand everything that's going on.

If you haven't seen this move, go get it on DVD and prepare to be blown away! At least give it a rental.
